"We have the Light"-Dr. Matt Buffan

Curious how sailing and Qi Gong can make you a better person and professional? Listen to find out.

Today I am joined by Dr. Matt Buffan of Rochester Spine and Sports in Pittsford, NY. He is a fellow Integrative Diagnosis physician and has been in practice for the last decade. Dr. Buffan has 2 unique hobbies, sailing and Qi Gong, we talk about how those hobbies transfer to his professional life. It was interesting to hear how those 2 different skill sets transfer to what we do every day as clinicians.

Matt and I also discuss the training environment Integrative Diagnosis brings to the table every time we meet for hands-on seminars. The growth is exponential with each seminar which leads to a deeper understanding of our treatment procedures. We also touch on the expansion of our abilities as clinicians when we are in these groups together.

Dr. Buffan definitely has a unique journey through his professional life and takes us through the experiences he had working in the clinical trials department at the University of Rochester Cancer Research Center. Those experiences helped mold the vision he had for his future and how we wanted to treat patients.

“Patients are hurt and confused when they come in. We have the light and can show them the path to health.” --Dr. Buffan
