Solving the Mystery of Non-Contact Injuries-Drs. Appleman & Reubbelke
Another episode first as I sit down with two providers--Dr. John Appleman and Dr. Drew Ruebbelke of Apollo Soft Tissue in Denver CO. Integrative Diagnosis colleagues and former rugby mates.
All 3 of us played Rugby together and we discussed our injuries as well as questions to why we were getting injured in the first place. Specifically, non-contact injuries were always interesting to us. Why do we get hurt absent of trauma? That is one question that wasn’t answered in our formal training and we discuss what system we found to help answer all questions musculoskeletal.
Drew and John share complex cases they’ve had recently and how delivering a complete, accurate diagnosis kept one patient from surgery and the other’s post surgical recovery was surprising even from the surgeon’s perspective.
We finish up discussing what all of us, as consumers of healthcare, can do to ensure we are seeing the right doctor for the job. On that same note, they share a positive and empowering message for young doctors starting in clinical practice.
